Alkhorayef Water & Power Technologies Co. Ltd. (AWPT) is seeking experienced and technically skilled Medium Voltage Electrical Technicians for deployment to Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair medium-voltage electrical systems and power distribution equipment within industrial and utility facilities.

Medium Voltage Electrical Technician

Qualifications:

  • Male applicants are preferred for this role.
  • Minimum of 2 years working experience is required.
  • Candidates must possess a Vocational Diploma or Short Course Certificate in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related technical fields.
  • Experience in installing, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting medium-voltage electrical systems and equipment ranging from 3.3 kV to 35 kV.
  • Strong knowledge of switchgear, transformers, RMUs, circuit breakers, protection relays, and associated power distribution systems.
  • Experience working in industrial facilities, particularly water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, and utility operations.
  • Proficient in diagnosing electrical faults, interpreting wiring diagrams, and performing system repairs safely and efficiently.
  • Familiarity with electrical testing equipment, protection systems, and preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Good analytical, troubleshooting, and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Physically fit, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently or within a technical team.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair medium-voltage electrical systems and power distribution equipment.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on switchgear, transformers, RMUs, circuit breakers, and protection relays.
  • Inspect and test electrical systems to ensure safe and reliable operation of industrial facilities.
  • Diagnose electrical faults and restore system functionality efficiently and safely.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals accurately.
  • Support operations in water treatment plants, wastewater facilities, pumping stations, and utility systems.
  • Conduct testing, calibration, and performance verification of electrical equipment and protection systems.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, operational procedures, and company regulations.
  • Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and maintenance personnel regarding electrical concerns and maintenance schedules.
  • Prepare maintenance reports, inspection records, and technical documentation accurately.
