Instrumentation and Control Design Engineer
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification acceptable to the User Organization.
- Must have passed the National Licensure Examination or hold an equivalent professional qualification, as applicable.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience as an Instrumentation and Control Design Engineer, counted from the date of professional qualification.
- At least 10 years of experience in an engineering and design office environment.
- Candidates must be a Bachelor’s / College Degree holder in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), or similar fields.
- Knowledgeable in electrical, instrumentation, and control design calculations and related engineering software.
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation and control engineering principles, design practices, and technical documentation.
- Well-versed in relevant international engineering and construction codes and standards.
- Knowledge of the International Fire Code (IFC), National Electrical Code (NEC), and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards.
- Ability to interpret engineering specifications, technical drawings, standards, and project requirements.
- Strong coordination skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Excellent technical documentation, analytical, problem-solving, and design-review skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven engineering and project environment.
- Aramco experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and prepare instrumentation and control engineering designs for industrial and construction projects.
- Perform instrumentation and control design calculations in accordance with project requirements and applicable engineering standards.
- Prepare instrumentation and control drawings, layouts, schematics, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Develop and review engineering documents related to instrumentation, control systems, and associated electrical interfaces.
- Prepare and review instrument data sheets, specifications, equipment schedules, cable schedules, and related engineering deliverables.
- Coordinate instrumentation and control designs with electrical, mechanical, civil, process, and other engineering disciplines.
- Ensure engineering designs comply with project specifications, applicable codes, standards, and User Organization requirements.
- Apply relevant international engineering and construction codes and standards in design and documentation.
- Ensure designs consider applicable requirements of the International Fire Code (IFC), National Electrical Code (NEC), and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards.
- Use appropriate electrical, instrumentation, and control design calculation software for engineering analysis and design development.
- Review technical drawings and documents for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance with project requirements.
- Analyze design requirements and develop practical and technically sound instrumentation and control solutions.
- Coordinate with project engineers, designers, consultants, contractors, vendors, and client representatives as required.
- Review vendor drawings, technical submittals, equipment documentation, and other engineering materials related to instrumentation and control systems.
- Participate in technical meetings, design reviews, coordination meetings, and project discussions.
- Provide technical support during project execution, fabrication, installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting when required.
- Identify design conflicts, technical issues, and potential construction problems and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Ensure engineering deliverables are completed accurately and within established project schedules.
- Maintain proper records of calculations, drawings, revisions, technical documents, and engineering correspondence.
- Perform quality checks and technical reviews of instrumentation and control engineering deliverables.
- Follow company, client, project, and Saudi Arabian health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
- Perform other instrumentation, control, and engineering duties assigned by management.
