INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICIAN

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of technical education in the Electrical/Electrician Trade, or a Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant industrial electrical maintenance experience.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, modification, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems.
  • Practical experience in three-phase motor control wiring, overload protection relays, magnetic contactors, and VFD motor speed controls.
  • Ability to diagnose electrical faults and perform appropriate repairs safely and efficiently.
  • Knowledge of industrial electrical equipment, motor control circuits, and electrical protection systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Familiarity with electrical testing instruments and maintenance tools.
  • Good understanding of preventive maintenance practices and workplace electrical safety standards.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to electrical maintenance requirements when necessary.
  • A valid four-wheel driving license is compulsory for this position.
  • Physically fit to perform industrial electrical maintenance tasks and work in industrial or construction-site environments.
  • Strong attention to detail, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Responsible, reliable, and capable of working independently or as part of a technical team.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, modify, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical installations, machinery, motors, and control panels.
  • Diagnose electrical faults using appropriate testing instruments, tools, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Install, inspect, and maintain three-phase electrical motors and motor control circuits.
  • Perform three-phase motor control wiring and connections in accordance with electrical diagrams and technical specifications.
  • Install, test, and maintain overload protection relays, magnetic contactors, circuit breakers, and other electrical protection devices.
  • Troubleshoot, configure, and maintain variable frequency drives (VFDs) used for motor speed and control applications.
  • Inspect electrical wiring, cables, terminals, switches, distribution panels, and control circuits for defects or damage.
  • Repair or replace faulty electrical components to restore safe and reliable equipment operation.
  • Conduct electrical testing, continuity checks, insulation resistance tests, and other required diagnostic procedures.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and technical drawings.
  • Identify potential electrical hazards and recommend corrective measures.
  • Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance to reduce equipment breakdowns and operational interruptions.
  • Respond to urgent electrical maintenance requests and equipment failures when required.
  • Verify the proper operation of electrical systems after repairs, modifications, or installations.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, and replaced components.
  • Use electrical tools, testing equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly and safely.
  • Follow lockout/tagout procedures and other applicable electrical safety requirements when performing maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other maintenance personnel to complete assigned work.
  • Perform other industrial electrical maintenance duties as instructed by management.
