PRIFOL is seeking a skilled and reliable Machine Technician to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production machinery in its manufacturing facility in Slovakia. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently, minimizing production downtime through preventive maintenance and prompt corrective actions. The role requires strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, as well as a commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.

MACHINE TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience as a Machine Technician, Maintenance Technician, or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
• High school graduate, vocational graduate, or holder of a diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related technical field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Skilled in installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production machinery and industrial equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical diagrams, technical manuals, and engineering documents.
• Knowledge of workplace safety regulations, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with production and maintenance teams.
• Physically fit and capable of working in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

• Install, assemble, test, and commission new production machinery and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure the reliability and efficiency of manufacturing equipment.
• Inspect machinery regularly to identify wear, defects, and potential issues before breakdowns occur.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults.
• Repair or replace worn, damaged, or defective machine parts and components.
• Respond promptly to machine breakdowns and carry out corrective maintenance to minimize production downtime.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, technical manuals, and equipment documentation.
• Coordinate with production personnel to resolve equipment-related issues and support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
• Perform machine adjustments, alignments, calibrations, and functional testing after repairs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair logs, inspection reports, and spare parts documentation.
• Ensure proper use of maintenance tools, testing equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Follow workplace safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance work area.
• Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and production efficiency.
• Perform other related duties assigned by supervisors or management.
