Auto Mechanic

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience as an Auto Mechanic or in a similar automotive repair role.
• Candidates must be graduates of a four-year undergraduate course.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• Strong knowledge of automotive mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic systems.
• Proficient in using automotive diagnostic equipment and repair tools.
• Ability to diagnose faults accurately and perform quality repairs efficiently.
• Knowledge of vehicle preventive maintenance procedures and repair standards.
• Basic experience in vehicle body repair and exterior finishing is an advantage.
• Good problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual mechanical work in a workshop environment.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults in vehicles.
• Perform preventive maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacement, fluid checks, brake servicing, and tune-ups.
• Repair and replace defective vehicle components such as engines, transmissions, suspension systems, steering systems, brakes, cooling systems, and exhaust systems.
• Use diagnostic equipment and specialized tools to identify vehicle problems accurately.
• Test drive vehicles before and after repairs to verify proper operation and safety.
• Prepare repair estimates, timelines, and recommendations, and communicate repair options to clients or supervisors.
• Perform body repair tasks, including minor panel repairs, preparation for painting, and exterior finishing when required.
• Wash, clean, and prepare vehicle exteriors after repairs as needed.
• Maintain accurate service records, repair reports, and parts replacement documentation.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of workshop tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices.
• Keep the workshop clean, organized, and compliant with workplace health and safety regulations.
• Follow manufacturer specifications and company repair procedures at all times.
• Perform other related duties assigned by supervisors or management.
