Metal Fabricator

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience as a Metal Fabricator, Welder/Fabricator, Structural Steel Fabricator, or similar metal trades position.
• Candidates must be graduates of a four-year undergraduate course.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in metal trades, carpentry, façade installation, or related installation roles.
• Proven experience working on construction projects, structural steel installations, lifting operations, and on-site fabrication.
• Proficient in welding using STICK, MIG, and/or TIG welding processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and fabrication specifications.
• Skilled in operating fabrication tools, hand tools, power tools, polishing equipment, coring machines, and drills.
• Strong knowledge of metal fabrication techniques, measuring instruments, and installation procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy materials and working in construction environments.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety standards.
• Good communication, teamwork, and time management skills.

Responsibilities:

• Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair architectural and structural metalwork according to technical drawings and project specifications.
• Install metal products including balustrades, handrails, bollards, benches, cladding, and structural steel.
• Measure, mark, cut, shape, grind, drill, and finish metal components with precision.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, fabrication plans, and installation details.
• Operate hand tools and power tools, including polishers, corers, drills, grinders, cutting equipment, and other fabrication machinery.
• Perform welding using STICK (SMAW), MIG (GMAW), or TIG (GTAW) processes when required.
• Assemble fabricated components and ensure proper alignment, fit, and structural integrity.
• Conduct site installations while following safe lifting procedures and construction safety standards.
• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality requirements and project specifications.
• Perform repairs, modifications, and adjustments to metal structures as required.
• Maintain tools, machinery, and equipment in good working condition.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with workplace health and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other trades to ensure timely project completion.
• Report defects, safety hazards, equipment issues, or material shortages promptly.
• Perform other fabrication and installation duties assigned by management.
