COST ACCOUNT

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience as a Cost Accountant, Inventory Accountant, Cost Control Officer, or in a similar role.
    No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
  • Female applicants are preferred for this role.
  • Solid experience in multi-branch restaurants, hospitality, food manufacturing, or food service operations is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, food costing, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), recipe costing, Bill of Materials (BOM), and yield analysis.
  • Experience conducting inventory counts, stock reconciliation, and operational audits.
  • Knowledge of purchase price variance analysis and cost control methodologies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and inventory or accounting software.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet reporting deadlines.
  • Must possess a valid passport with at least two and a half (2½) years of remaining validity.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate inventory records across warehouses, commissaries, and restaurant branches.
  • Monitor and analyze actual versus theoretical food costs and identify areas for cost improvement.
  • Prepare, maintain, and update recipe costing, Bill of Materials (BOM), and product yield analysis.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, stock variances, and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) variances.
  • Monitor purchase price variances and update standard costing information as necessary.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts, stock reconciliations, and operational audits.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cost control reports for management review.
  • Analyze inventory movements, wastage, shrinkage, and production losses, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Warehouse, Production, Operations, and Finance departments to improve inventory control and costing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, inventory procedures, and internal control standards.
    Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial analysis related to food costs and inventory.
  • Support month-end and year-end inventory reconciliation and financial closing activities.
  • Maintain accurate costing records and documentation for audit purposes.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and profitability.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management.
