Committee Australia is seeking qualified and experienced Filipino Welders for an overseas work opportunity in Australia. The successful candidate will perform welding and metal fabrication work using MIG, FCAW, and GTAW (TIG) welding processes while maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety, and quality.
This opportunity is suitable for experienced welders with strong skills in MIG and FCAW welding, with GTAW/TIG pipe welding experience considered highly desirable.
WELDER (MIG/FCAW/GTAW)
Qualifications:
- Must be a Filipino applicant.
- Proven experience in MIG and FCAW welding.
- GTAW (TIG) pipe welding experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and accurately interpret engineering and workshop drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and consistently high standard of workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to workplace safety and quality.
- Must have completed 4 years of High School and at least 1 year of College, with the 1st and 2nd semesters completed, or 1 year of vocational training.
- Good English communication skills.
- Must be able to provide a Certificate of Employment (COE).
- Applicant must be currently employed or must have been employed in their previous job no more than 6 months ago and be able to provide a COE.
Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality welding using MIG (GMAW), FCAW, and GTAW (TIG) welding processes as required.
- Perform pipe welding using GTAW/TIG techniques when required.
- Read and accurately interpret engineering drawings, workshop drawings, welding symbols, and job specifications.
- Prepare metal materials and components for welding and fabrication.
- Measure, align, fit, and position components before welding.
- Select appropriate welding processes, equipment, settings, consumables, and techniques according to job requirements.
- Produce clean, strong, and accurate welds that meet specified quality standards.
- Inspect completed welds and fabricated components for defects, dimensional accuracy, and overall workmanship.
- Perform repairs or rework when welds do not meet required standards.
- Maintain welding machines, tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition.
- Follow approved welding procedures and workshop instructions.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow workplace safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Work independently when required and collaborate effectively with other welders, fabricators, supervisors, and workshop personnel.
- Report equipment problems, material issues, or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
- Follow company quality, safety, and production standards at all times.
