Committee Australia is seeking experienced Vehicle Body Builders to join its team in Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, repairing, and modifying truck bodies, semi-trailers, and heavy transport equipment while ensuring high-quality workmanship and compliance with technical specifications.
VEHICLE BODY BUILDER
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Vehicle Body Builder or in a similar trade background.
- Strong experience in MIG, TIG, and FCAW welding.
- Proven experience in fabricating, assembling, and fitting truck bodies, semi-trailers, and transport equipment.
- Skilled in welding and fabricating steel, aluminium, and stainless steel components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Experience with vehicle repairs, modifications, fit-outs, and general fabrication work.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to follow workplace safety procedures and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Fabricate, assemble, and fit truck bodies, semi-trailers, and transport equipment.
- Perform modifications, repairs, and maintenance work on trailers and heavy vehicles.
- Weld and fabricate components using steel, aluminium, and stainless steel materials.
- Utilize MIG, TIG, and FCAW welding techniques for fabrication and repair works.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Assist with vehicle fit-outs, modifications, repairs, and general fabrication tasks.
- Ensure all work is completed according to quality, safety, and industry standards.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.
- Work collaboratively with workshop team members to complete projects efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding job requirements and progress.
