Finishing Carpenter

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience as a Finishing Carpenter, either local or abroad.
• Age limit: Up to 56 years old.
• Skilled in measuring, cutting, fitting, assembling, and installing wood and finishing materials.
• Knowledge of doors, frames, cabinets, moldings, trims, wall panels, and other architectural woodwork.
• Ability to read and understand basic construction drawings and measurements.
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Good knowledge of finishing techniques and proper installation methods.
• Physically fit and capable of performing carpentry work for extended periods.
• Ability to work safely in a construction environment and follow site rules and instructions.
• Reliable, hardworking, disciplined, and able to work effectively as part of a construction team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform finishing carpentry work for residential, commercial, and other construction projects.
• Measure and mark work areas accurately according to drawings and project specifications.
• Read and interpret basic construction drawings, layouts, measurements, and carpentry details.
• Prepare, cut, shape, assemble, and install wood and other finishing materials.
• Install doors, door frames, window frames, cabinets, shelves, and other woodwork.
• Install wall panels, trims, moldings, skirting, decorative features, and architectural wood finishes.
• Perform accurate cutting, fitting, leveling, and alignment of carpentry components.
• Ensure proper joints, connections, dimensions, and overall workmanship.
• Sand, smooth, adjust, and finish surfaces to achieve a clean and professional appearance.
• Perform repairs, adjustments, and replacement of damaged or improperly installed carpentry work.
• Use hand tools, power tools, saws, drills, sanders, and other carpentry equipment safely.
• Check finished work for accuracy, alignment, appearance, and compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, foremen, and other trades to ensure smooth construction progress.
• Properly handle, transport, and store wood, boards, hardware, tools, and other materials.
• Minimize material waste through accurate measurements, cutting, and proper material handling.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free from unnecessary hazards.
• Follow construction safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Complete assigned carpentry works within the required project schedule.
• Report material requirements, work progress, defects, and technical concerns to the supervisor.
• Perform other finishing carpentry duties assigned by management.
