AUTOMATIC DOOR AND GATE TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in automatic doors, gates, barriers, or similar systems.
• Knowledge and practical experience in troubleshooting motors, control boards, sensors, and electrical wiring.
• Experience in both mechanical and electrical works related to automatic door and gate systems.
• Experience with Ditec, CAME, BFT, Beninca, FAAC, GEZE, or similar systems is an added advantage.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system problems.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance, repair, adjustment, and testing procedures.
• High School or Vocational graduate.
• Willingness to work at different sites throughout Qatar.
• Good troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical skills.
• Ability to use basic electrical testing tools and mechanical hand tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Able to work independently and effectively as part of a technical team.
• Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on technical work and traveling to various work sites.
• Reliable, hardworking, safety-conscious, and willing to follow company procedures and technical instructions.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automatic doors, gates, barriers, and related systems.
• Inspect automatic door and gate mechanisms to identify mechanical, electrical, and control system faults.
• Troubleshoot and repair motors, control boards, sensors, switches, and related components.
• Diagnose problems involving electrical wiring, connections, power supplies, and control systems.
• Perform mechanical and electrical works associated with automatic doors, gates, and barriers.
• Test sensors and safety devices to ensure proper operation and user safety.
• Adjust door and gate mechanisms, motors, sensors, and control settings for proper performance.
• Replace defective or worn components, wiring, motors, sensors, control boards, and other spare parts as required.
• Conduct functional testing after installation, repair, or maintenance work.
• Perform preventive maintenance to minimize equipment breakdowns and service interruptions.
• Inspect equipment regularly and identify potential problems before they result in system failure.
• Work with automatic door and gate systems from brands such as Ditec, CAME, BFT, Beninca, FAAC, and GEZE, or similar systems.
• Follow manufacturer specifications, technical procedures, and safety standards when performing installation and repair work.
• Use hand tools, electrical testing instruments, and specialized equipment safely and correctly.
• Prepare service reports and document completed maintenance, repairs, testing, and replacement of components.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, clients, and other technicians when resolving technical issues.
• Provide professional technical support and explain equipment problems or required repairs when necessary.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition.
• Travel to and perform technical work at different client sites throughout Qatar.
• Perform other technical duties related to automatic doors, gates, and barriers as assigned by management.
