FITTER / TURNER
Qualifications:
- Proven experience working as a Fitter and Turner.
- Experience operating manual lathes and vertical milling machines.
- Good general mechanical knowledge.
- Experience installing hydraulic and pneumatic components and piping systems.
- Experience installing and setting up pipework and spraying systems.
- Experience installing ancillary components on vehicles.
- Ability to perform mechanical fitting, assembly, and installation tasks accurately.
- Ability to follow technical instructions and workplace safety procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Install hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders, pipes, and hoses.
- Install pneumatic solenoid enclosures and interconnecting pipework.
- Install wheel guards, toolboxes, hose trays, spray bars, and other ancillary vehicle components.
- Fit and install interconnecting hoses and pipework.
- Set up and install pipework and spraying systems according to technical requirements.
- Operate manual lathes and vertical milling machines for machining and fitting tasks.
- Assemble, fit, and align mechanical components to ensure proper operation.
- Inspect installed components and piping systems for correct fit, alignment, and functionality.
- Apply general mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot fitting and installation issues.
- Follow technical drawings, workshop procedures, and workplace health and safety requirements.
