REINFORCEMENT STEEL FIXER (INSTALLER)

Qualifications:

  • Male applicants, 45 years old and below.
  • Preferably at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Must have a Certificate of Employment (COE) documenting previous work experience.
  • Must possess an NC II Certificate.
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints and post-tensioning layout plans.
  • Experience in installing reinforcement systems or prestressing cables is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of installing ducts, anchorage components, and prestressing steel cables.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic jacks, pumps, cable tensioning, and elongation measurement.
  • Basic English communication skills.
  • Physically fit and able to perform construction-related duties.
  • Willing to follow technical instructions and construction safety procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret construction blueprints, technical drawings, and post-tensioning layout plans.
  • Install and secure ducts according to the required cable profiles and project specifications.
  • Thread prestressing steel cables through the installed ducts.
  • Install anchor heads, wedges, bearing plates, and other required anchorage components.
  • Operate hydraulic jacks and pumps to tension prestressing cables according to approved specifications.
  • Measure cable elongation and verify that tensioning requirements are met.
  • Securely lock prestressing cables into their anchorages after tensioning.
  • Inspect installed ducts, cables, and anchorage components for correct placement and alignment.
  • Follow construction procedures, technical instructions, and workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and other construction workers to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
