STEEL FIXER

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years work experience
• Good English Communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and plans.
• Proficiency in using various hand and power tools for cutting, bending, and shaping steel.
• Skill in assembling, cutting, and bending reinforcing steel.
• Familiarity with rebar bending machines is also important.

Responsibilities:

• Read and follow construction blueprints and technical drawings to determine the layout and specifications for the steel reinforcement.
• Use hand and power tools to cut and bend steel bars and mesh into the correct shapes and sizes.
• Position and secure the steel bars and mesh by tying them together with wire, clips, or by welding them to form a rigid structure.
• Fit spacers and supports, and then position and secure the assembled steel reinforcement within concrete forms.
• Work closely with engineering designers, steel erectors, and other construction workers to ensure the project stays on track.
• Adhere to all applicable safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
• help with preparing and pouring concrete, and inspecting the completed work for quality and compliance with standards.
