ELECTRICAL SPECIALIST
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant working experience.
- Must have maintenance experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Fertilizer, or Power Plant facilities.
- Bachelor’s / College Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or a similar field.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Extensive experience in industrial electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and repair.
- Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution systems and industrial electrical equipment.
- Proven experience with automated systems and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
- Ability to configure, program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC-based control systems.
- Knowledge of electrical control systems, instrumentation interfaces, and industrial automation is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, control drawings, and technical documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for complex electrical and automation systems.
- Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices in continuous-operation industrial facilities.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety, HSEQ requirements, and industrial maintenance procedures.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on technical work in demanding industrial environments.
- Reliable, disciplined, safety-conscious, and committed to quality workmanship.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair advanced electrical systems and equipment.
- Perform electrical maintenance activities in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Fertilizer, or Power Plant facilities.
- Maintain and troubleshoot electrical power distribution networks and associated equipment.
- Inspect electrical systems and identify faults, abnormal conditions, and potential equipment failures.
- Perform testing and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems as required.
- Diagnose electrical problems using appropriate testing instruments and diagnostic equipment.
- Configure, program, troubleshoot, and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
- Maintain automated systems, control equipment, and related electrical components.
- Modify PLC programs and control system configurations according to approved technical requirements.
- Troubleshoot communication, control, input/output, and other PLC-related issues.
- Maintain automated industrial equipment and ensure reliable system operation.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and automated systems.
- Inspect cables, electrical connections, control panels, protective devices, and other electrical components.
- Replace defective electrical components and perform necessary repairs or modifications.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, control diagrams, technical manuals, and equipment documentation.
- Conduct functional tests after repairs, modifications, or maintenance activities.
- Ensure electrical systems and automated equipment operate safely and within required technical specifications.
- Follow approved maintenance procedures, HSEQ requirements, permit-to-work systems, and electrical safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing, maintenance, repairs, modifications, and equipment conditions.
- Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, operations personnel, and other maintenance disciplines during technical activities.
- Provide technical support and recommendations for electrical and automation-related problems.
- Keep electrical tools, testing equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Perform other electrical, automation, and maintenance duties assigned by management.
