Alfa Company is seeking qualified and hardworking Restaurant Staff (Line Cooks) to join its food service team in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidates will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to recipes, food quality standards, and restaurant procedures while maintaining proper food safety, hygiene, portion control, and kitchen organization. The role requires teamwork, good communication, integrity, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy restaurant environment.

Restaurant Staff (Line Cook)

Qualifications:

  • Male applicants are preferred.
  • 21–37 years old.
  • Able to speak and write English sufficiently for workplace communication and documentation.
  • Basic knowledge of restaurant food safety and food hygiene.
  • Knowledge of proper food safety practices, including safe food handling and prevention of cross-contamination.
  • Demonstrated cooking skills and basic knowledge of different cooking methods.
  • Basic awareness of food costing, portion control, and minimizing food waste.
  • Good oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Good time management and ability to work efficiently during busy restaurant operations.
  • Strong attention to cleanliness, food quality, and preparation details.
  • Demonstrates integrity, reliability, and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook assigned menu items according to established recipes and restaurant standards.
  • Complete daily mise en place and ensure all ingredients are prepared and available before service.
  • Measure, portion, season, and prepare ingredients accurately according to recipes.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly for grilling, frying, sautéing, boiling, baking, and other cooking methods as required.
  • Monitor cooking temperatures, timing, texture, appearance, and portion sizes to maintain consistent food quality.
  • Follow established food preparation methods and instructions from senior chefs or kitchen supervisors.
  • Maintain proper food safety and hygiene practices throughout food preparation and cooking.
  • Handle raw and cooked food properly to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Check the quality, freshness, and condition of ingredients before use.
  • Store and label ingredients and prepared food properly according to food safety procedures.
  • Maintain clean and organized workstations, cooking equipment, utensils, and preparation areas.
  • Monitor ingredient usage and practice proper portion control to help manage food costs.
  • Apply basic knowledge of food costing and minimize unnecessary food waste.
  • Coordinate with prep cooks, kitchen helpers, chefs, and other restaurant staff during service.
  • Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors regarding orders, preparation requirements, and ingredient availability.
  • Maintain efficient food preparation and service during busy periods.
  • Follow restaurant procedures for order accuracy, food presentation, portioning, and service timing.
  • Report equipment problems, food shortages, quality issues, or safety concerns to supervisors.
  • Follow workplace safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment.
  • Display honesty, integrity, professionalism, and respect when dealing with customers and colleagues.
  • Perform other cooking, food preparation, and kitchen duties assigned by management.
