Australian Skilled Migration is seeking experienced Plastic Extrusion Operators specializing in PVC Pipe manufacturing for employment opportunities in Australia. The successful candidates will operate and monitor plastic extrusion machinery, oversee PVC pipe production processes, perform machine setup and troubleshooting, and maintain product quality and production standards.
PLASTIC EXTRUSION OPERATOR (PVC PIP)
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience as a Plastic Extrusion Operator specializing in PVC Pipe.
- Must have current or recent experience in PVC pipe extrusion and manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience in extrusion machine operation.
- Strong knowledge of plastic extrusion production processes and PVC pipe manufacturing.
- Experience with machine setup, process adjustment, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures for PVC pipe production.
- Experience handling and monitoring PVC pipe production from raw materials to finished products.
- Ability to identify production defects and make appropriate process or machine adjustments.
- Good understanding of extrusion machine operation, production parameters, and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Able to work in a manufacturing environment and follow production schedules.
- Good troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical skills.
- Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on production work.
- Able to work effectively with supervisors, technicians, quality personnel, and other production workers.
- Must have completed at least 1 year in college or a 1-year vocational course.
Responsibilities:
- Operate plastic extrusion machines used in the production of PVC pipes.
- Set up and prepare extrusion machinery according to production requirements and specifications.
- Monitor extrusion machine operation, production speed, temperature, pressure, and other process parameters.
- Operate and adjust extrusion equipment to maintain consistent PVC pipe production.
- Monitor the extrusion process from raw material feeding through pipe forming, cooling, sizing, and cutting.
- Handle and monitor PVC materials and ensure proper material feeding during production.
- Inspect PVC pipes for dimensions, surface appearance, defects, and overall product quality.
- Conduct routine quality checks to ensure products meet established specifications and standards.
- Identify and troubleshoot machine, material, and production problems during extrusion operations.
- Make appropriate machine adjustments to correct process variations and maintain production quality.
- Assist with machine changeovers, die changes, tooling adjustments, and production setup as required.
- Monitor production output and minimize material waste and production downtime.
- Record production information, machine settings, quality results, and operational issues accurately.
- Report machine breakdowns, defects, abnormal production conditions, and maintenance requirements to supervisors.
- Perform basic cleaning, inspection, and routine maintenance of extrusion equipment.
- Follow proper procedures when handling machinery, PVC materials, tools, and production equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production area.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work closely with production supervisors, maintenance personnel, quality control staff, and other operators.
- Perform other plastic extrusion and PVC pipe manufacturing duties assigned by management.
