SRX Global (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking qualified and detail-oriented Technician I – Testing (Debug) candidates to support its electronics manufacturing and testing operations in Malaysia. The successful candidates will troubleshoot defective PCB assemblies, investigate functional test failures, perform electronic repairs and component replacement, and support Test and Quality Engineers in maintaining product quality and production reliability.

TECHNICIAN I – TESTING (DEBUG)

Qualifications:

  • SKM or equivalent Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
  • 2 years of experience in electronics debugging, testing, repair, or a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with electronic product debugging and testing equipment is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of PCBAs, electronic components, circuits, and basic troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical/electronic schematics and engineering documents.
  • Familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
  • Basic soldering, desoldering, and electronic component replacement skills.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.
  • Willing to work in a manufacturing and electronics production environment.
  • Able to follow technical instructions, quality requirements, and safety procedures.
  • Willing to maintain ESD-safe working practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot defective Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs) and investigate functional test failures.
  • Diagnose electronic faults using schematics, engineering documents, test procedures, and technical instructions.
  • Read and interpret electrical and electronic schematics to identify defective components and circuits.
  • Use electronic test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and related diagnostic tools.
  • Perform electrical and electronic testing according to established procedures and specifications.
  • Conduct soldering and desoldering of electronic components using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Remove and replace defective or damaged electronic components on PCBAs.
  • Verify repaired PCBAs through appropriate testing and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Identify recurring defects and assist in determining their root causes.
  • Accurately record defects, test failures, root causes, repair actions, and troubleshooting results.
  • Maintain proper documentation of debugging and repair activities.
  • Support Test Engineers and Quality Engineers in investigating product and testing issues.
  • Assist with test equipment setup, verification, and troubleshooting when required.
  • Escalate complex or recurring technical issues to the appropriate engineer or supervisor.
  • Maintain an ESD-safe workstation and follow proper electrostatic discharge protection procedures.
  • Keep tools, test equipment, components, and work areas clean, organized, and properly maintained.
  • Follow EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) requirements and company safety procedures.
  • Handle chemicals, soldering materials, and other hazardous substances according to established safety procedures.
  • Follow production, quality, repair, and testing standards at all times.
  • Perform other testing, debugging, repair, and technical duties assigned by management.
