PET GROOMER

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 1 year of relevant working experience is required.
• Candidates must be at least a High School Graduate.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• Previous experience as a pet groomer, animal groomer, pet-care worker, or in a related position is preferred.
• Knowledge of basic grooming techniques for dogs and cats.
• Familiarity with bathing, drying, brushing, coat trimming, hair styling, and nail trimming.
• Ability to handle pets calmly, patiently, and safely.
• With a pleasing personality and professional customer-service approach.
• Able to communicate politely and respectfully with pet owners and coworkers.
• Physically fit and able to stand for long periods while performing grooming duties.
• Strong attention to detail, patience, cleanliness, and animal-care awareness.
• Ability to maintain grooming tools and equipment properly.
• Willing to follow company policies, safety procedures, and instructions from supervisors.
• Reliable, hardworking, responsible, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide grooming services for pets, primarily dogs and cats, according to customer instructions and grooming standards.
• Bathe, shampoo, rinse, dry, brush, and groom pets using appropriate products and techniques.
• Trim and style pet hair according to owner instructions, breed requirements, or standard grooming styles.
• Perform specialty or show grooming when requested and when properly trained.
• Brush and remove tangles, mats, loose hair, and dirt from pets’ coats.
• Trim nails carefully and safely using appropriate grooming tools.
• Clean and maintain pets’ ears and perform other basic grooming procedures within the scope of the position.
• Handle pets calmly and safely throughout the grooming process.
• Assess pets’ behavior and temperament before and during grooming to prevent stress, injury, or accidents.
• Observe pets for visible signs of skin irritation, infections, parasites, wounds, dental concerns, or other health issues.
• Inform pet owners or supervisors of observed health concerns and recommend veterinary consultation when necessary.
• Maintain grooming tools, clippers, scissors, dryers, tables, tubs, and other equipment in good working condition.
• Clean and disinfect grooming tools, workstations, cages, tubs, and other facilities after use.
• Ensure the grooming area is clean, organized, hygienic, and safe for pets, customers, and employees.
• Follow proper sanitation, animal-handling, workplace safety, and infection-control procedures.
• Use grooming products, cleaning chemicals, and equipment according to instructions.
• Maintain accurate customer, pet, grooming, and service records when required.
• Communicate politely and professionally with pet owners regarding grooming preferences, pet behavior, and service concerns.
• Provide recommendations on basic coat care, brushing, bathing, and grooming maintenance.
• Report accidents, injuries, equipment problems, or unusual pet behavior to the supervisor immediately.
• Assist with other pet-care, cleaning, and grooming-related duties assigned by management.

• Employment certificates (previous to present)
• Trainings attended
• Exit visa and Iqama id (Ex Saudi)
• Passport copy (1 year valid)
