Accurate Infrastructure Solutions Australia Pty. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Waterproofer / Waterproofing Applicator for an overseas work opportunity in Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out waterproofing works in building and construction projects, including surface preparation, membrane installation, protective coating application, sealing, joint treatment, and leak repair. The role requires strong knowledge of waterproofing systems, proper application techniques, construction safety, and quality standards.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Waterproofer or Waterproofing Applicator is required.
- Candidates must have a High School Diploma or at least one year of college-level education.
- Proven experience in building and construction waterproofing works.
- Strong knowledge of different waterproofing systems, materials, and application techniques.
- Skilled in surface preparation, membrane installation, coating application, sealing, and leak repair.
- Experience applying waterproofing membranes, liquid coatings, sealants, and other waterproofing products.
- Ability to prepare different types of construction surfaces for waterproofing application.
- Knowledge of proper waterproofing detailing around joints, corners, penetrations, drains, and other vulnerable areas.
- Ability to identify waterproofing defects, water infiltration, and potential causes of leaks.
- Experience performing waterproofing repairs, remedial works, and leak prevention.
- Ability to read and follow construction drawings, specifications, product instructions, and waterproofing procedures.
- Good understanding of curing times, material coverage, application thickness, and proper waterproofing installation practices.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Ability to safely handle waterproofing chemicals, coatings, adhesives, and construction materials.
- Relevant waterproofing or construction certification/training is an advantage.
- Valid Driver’s License is required.
- Physically fit and capable of performing construction work, including standing, bending, lifting, climbing, and working in various site conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, hardworking, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Willing to comply with Australian workplace safety and project requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Perform professional waterproofing works for residential, commercial, industrial, and other construction projects as assigned.
- Prepare surfaces before waterproofing by cleaning, drying, removing dust, dirt, loose materials, old coatings, and contaminants.
- Inspect surfaces for cracks, holes, uneven areas, moisture, deterioration, and other conditions that may affect waterproofing performance.
- Repair and prepare substrates as required before applying waterproofing materials.
- Install and apply various waterproofing membranes, coatings, sealants, and protective systems according to project specifications.
- Apply liquid waterproofing membranes and protective coatings using brushes, rollers, squeegees, or spray equipment as appropriate.
- Install sheet or membrane waterproofing systems accurately, ensuring proper overlaps, adhesion, alignment, and coverage.
- Apply waterproofing to roofs, balconies, terraces, bathrooms, wet areas, basements, foundations, walls, floors, and other designated areas.
- Seal joints, corners, penetrations, expansion joints, pipe openings, drains, and other vulnerable areas to prevent water infiltration.
- Ensure proper detailing around plumbing fixtures, drainage points, wall-to-floor junctions, and other critical waterproofing areas.
- Mix and prepare waterproofing compounds and materials according to manufacturer instructions and project requirements.
- Measure and apply materials at the correct thickness, coverage, and application rate.
- Allow appropriate curing and drying times between coats or stages of waterproofing application.
- Conduct inspections of completed waterproofing works to identify gaps, bubbles, cracks, pinholes, incomplete coverage, or other defects.
- Perform leak detection, waterproofing repairs, and remedial works when water infiltration or defects are identified.
- Conduct water tests or other required testing procedures to verify waterproofing performance.
- Rectify defective or damaged waterproofing systems and ensure repaired areas meet required quality standards.
- Read and follow construction drawings, specifications, waterproofing details, product instructions, and work procedures.
- Coordinate with builders, plumbers, tilers, painters, supervisors, and other construction personnel to ensure proper sequencing of waterproofing works.
- Protect completed waterproofing systems from damage caused by subsequent construction activities.
- Maintain waterproofing tools, equipment, mixing containers, rollers, brushes, applicators, and other work materials in good working condition.
- Handle waterproofing chemicals, coatings, adhesives, and other materials safely and according to manufacturer and workplace requirements.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times, particularly when working at heights, in confined areas, or around chemicals.
- Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, safety footwear, protective clothing, eye protection, respiratory protection, and fall-protection equipment where applicable.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas and properly dispose of waste and used materials.
- Report site hazards, defective materials, waterproofing problems, and other construction issues to the supervisor.
- Ensure assigned waterproofing works are completed efficiently, safely, and according to project schedules.
- Perform other waterproofing, construction, maintenance, and site-related duties assigned by management.
