PROJECT ENGINEER (CIVIL)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum of 12–15 years of progressive experience in civil engineering within the construction industry.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale retail, commercial, healthcare, residential, and mixed-use construction projects.
• Extensive hands-on experience with structural works, earthworks, concrete construction, utilities installation, and finishing activities.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering drawings, AutoCAD, Revit/BIM models, construction specifications, and technical documentation.
• Proficient in project planning and scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent software.
• Familiar with construction management ERP systems and digital project management platforms.
• Solid understanding of construction contracts, quality standards, and the Saudi Building Code (SBC).
• Experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation, material management, and construction quality control.
  Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred; PMP certification is an advantage.
• Proficient in English (written and spoken); Arabic language skills are an advantage.
• Strong leadership, technical problem-solving, communication, organizational, and risk management skills with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate civil engineering activities including earthworks, concrete works, structural elements, utilities installation, and finishing works for large-scale retail, commercial, healthcare, residential, and mixed-use projects.
• Review civil engineering drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and technical documents to ensure accurate implementation and compliance with project requirements.
• Prepare method statements, risk assessments, work plans, and technical documentation for civil construction activities.
• Monitor and inspect construction works to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and the Saudi Building Code (SBC).
• Coordinate with architectural, mechanical, electrical engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure seamless integration of civil works with other disciplines.
• Prepare and maintain daily progress reports, material logs, technical documentation, and project updates for management and clients.
• Conduct site measurements, quantity verification, and material reconciliation to support procurement, cost control, and project planning.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, design discrepancies, and construction challenges in coordination with consultants and project management.
• Review and support the preparation of shop drawings, as-built drawings, technical submittals, and project documentation for client and consultant approval.
• Ensure strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations while promoting safe construction practices throughout project execution.
• Participate in project meetings, site inspections, and coordination sessions with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Assist in planning and scheduling civil construction activities using Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar project management software.
• Support commissioning, testing, inspections, snagging, and project handover activities to ensure all deliverables meet contractual and regulatory requirements.
