TECHNICAL ENGINEER-DESIGNER (ARCHITECTURAL)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering from a recognized university.
• Master’s Degree in Architecture is an advantage.
• Minimum of 10–15 years of experience as an Architectural Designer, Technical Architect, or Architectural Engineer in construction or design consultancy.
• Proven experience in large-scale retail, commercial, healthcare, residential, and mixed-use development projects.
• Strong background in architectural design, technical detailing, façade design, space planning, and multidisciplinary design coordination.
• Professional Architect license or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
• LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) certification and familiarity with ISO 9001 standards are an advantage.
• Proficiency in English is required; Arabic language skills are preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM for architectural design and documentation.
• Strong working knowledge of SketchUp, 3ds Max, Lumion, or equivalent 3D modeling and rendering software.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for architectural presentations and documentation.
• Comprehensive knowledge of architectural design principles, building materials, façade systems, curtain wall detailing, and construction methods.
• Thorough understanding of the Saudi Building Code (SBC), accessibility requirements, fire safety regulations, and international architectural standards.
• Ability to interpret structural and MEP drawings and coordinate multidisciplinary designs using BIM and clash detection processes.
• Strong creativity, analytical thinking, communication, presentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of technical accuracy and design quality.

Responsibilities:

• Develop architectural designs, design concepts, and space planning for large-scale retail, commercial, healthcare, residential, and mixed-use developments.
• Prepare detailed architectural drawings, floor plans, elevations, sections, façade designs, interior layouts, and finishing details in coordination with structural and MEP engineers.
• Conduct design reviews, value engineering studies, and design optimization to enhance aesthetics, functionality, constructability, and cost efficiency.
• Review and verify architectural drawings, shop drawings, and design submittals prepared by consultants, subcontractors, and drafting teams.
• Prepare technical specifications, material schedules, door and window schedules, and finishing specifications for architectural works.
• Coordinate with architects, interior designers, consultants, contractors, and project teams to resolve design issues, clashes, and technical challenges.
• Develop façade systems, cladding details, curtain wall designs, and other architectural feature elements in accordance with project requirements.
  Prepare architectural details for joinery, ceiling systems, wall sections, and interior and exterior finishing works.
• Ensure all architectural designs comply with the Saudi Building Code (SBC), accessibility standards, fire safety regulations, and project specifications.
• Provide technical guidance and design support during construction, including reviewing method statements, mock-ups, material samples, and construction details.
• Participate in design coordination meetings, client presentations, technical workshops, and multidisciplinary project reviews.
• Prepare design presentations, 3D visualizations, material boards, renderings, and design reports for client approval and management review.
• Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Lumion, and other architectural design software to develop accurate design documentation and visual presentations.
• Stay updated with the latest architectural design trends, building materials, sustainable design practices, and construction technologies.
