Qualifications:
- Male or female applicants are welcome.
- Preferably 21–40 years old, subject to the employer’s requirements and applicable regulations.
- At least a high school graduate.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Steward, Dishwasher, or Kitchen Utility Worker in a hotel, resort, or restaurant.
- Experience in a 4-star or 5-star hotel or resort is an advantage.
- Knowledge of basic kitchen sanitation, cleaning procedures, and proper waste disposal.
- Physically fit and capable of standing for extended periods and handling kitchen equipment safely.
- Hardworking, reliable, organized, and attentive to cleanliness.
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Good communication skills in English; knowledge of Italian is an advantage.
- Willing to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
- Willing to work in Italy for the duration of the employment contract.
Responsibilities:
- Wash, rinse, sanitize, and organize dishes, plates, glasses, cutlery, pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils.
- Operate dishwashing machines and use appropriate cleaning products safely.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen workstations, preparation areas, floors, sinks, and other assigned spaces.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment, storage areas, and service stations.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Collect, sort, and dispose of kitchen waste according to established procedures.
- Separate recyclable materials and maintain proper waste management practices where required.
- Assist with cleaning kitchen appliances and equipment according to instructions.
- Store clean dishes, utensils, and equipment in their designated areas.
- Monitor cleaning supplies and report shortages or damaged equipment to the supervisor.
- Assist kitchen staff with basic utility tasks when needed.
- Follow instructions from the chef, kitchen supervisor, or stewarding supervisor.
- Perform other cleaning and kitchen support duties as assigned.
