Senior Waiter/Chef De Rang

Qualifications:

• Male applicants preferred.
• Preferably 23–40 years old, subject to the employer’s requirements and applicable regulations.
• At least a high school graduate; hospitality or food and beverage service training is an advantage.
• At least 2–3 years of relevant experience as a Chef de Rang or Senior Waiter in a hotel, resort, or fine-dining restaurant.
• Experience in a 4-star or 5-star hotel or resort is an advantage.
• Knowledge of professional table service, food and beverage presentation, and restaurant service standards.
• Good communication skills in English; knowledge of Italian is an advantage.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to supervise and coordinate junior service staff.
• Well-groomed, professional, attentive, and customer-oriented.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage busy restaurant operations effectively.
• Good teamwork, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the service of an assigned section of the restaurant, ensuring efficient and professional guest service.
• Welcome guests, present menus, explain menu items, and provide recommendations on food and beverages.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate special requests or dietary requirements to the kitchen.
• Serve food and beverages according to restaurant standards, proper presentation, and service sequence.
• Ensure tables are correctly set and maintained with appropriate cutlery, glassware, linens, and dining accessories.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely service and proper order delivery.
• Supervise and guide junior waiters and other service staff assigned to the section.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly and courteously to requests or concerns.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and refer complex issues to the restaurant supervisor when necessary.
• Ensure the dining area remains clean, organized, and presentable throughout service.
• Assist with billing, payment processing, and other service-related administrative duties when required.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and responsible beverage service procedures.
• Support staff briefings, table assignments, and preparation before service.
• Perform other duties assigned by the restaurant manager or food and beverage supervisor.
