Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience as a Caregiver, Careworker, Nursing Assistant, or in a related healthcare role.
- No minimum educational attainment is required.
- Must possess a JPT or JFT N4 Passer Certificate.
- Must possess a Prometric Certificate (English & Japanese Nursing Skill Test) required for the Careworker SSW category.
- Experience providing elderly care or long-term care services is preferred.
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to delivering quality care.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Physically fit and capable of assisting residents with mobility and daily care activities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and personal hygiene.
- Provide mobility assistance, including walking support, transfers, repositioning, and the safe use of wheelchairs and mobility aids.
- Monitor residents’ physical, emotional, and mental condition and promptly report any changes to supervisors or nursing staff.
- Prepare, serve, and assist residents with meals according to prescribed dietary requirements and nutritional plans.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of residents’ rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and care equipment.
- Support residents in participating in recreational, therapeutic, and social activities to promote independence and well-being.
- Assist with bed making, linen changes, laundry, and maintaining a comfortable living environment.
- Accurately document care provided and communicate resident updates to nurses and other healthcare professionals.
- Work collaboratively with nurses, caregivers, therapists, and healthcare staff to deliver quality resident care.
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures, workplace safety standards, and company policies.
- Respect residents’ dignity, privacy, cultural values, and individual care needs.
- Perform other caregiving duties assigned by management.
