Workvantage, in partnership with Omanfil International Manpower Development Corporation, is urgently hiring Reefer Van Technicians for deployment to Canada.

Reefer Van Technician

Qualifications:

• At least a High School Graduate.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Reefer Van Technician.
• Experience working with Thermo King refrigeration units is required.
• Strong skills in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing transport refrigeration systems.
• Experience repairing refrigeration, air-conditioning, and ventilation systems installed on trucks and trailers.
• Ability to install refrigeration units on trucks, trailers, and vans.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration components of transport cooling systems.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance and repair procedures for reefer units.
• Experience as an Automotive Service Technician is an advantage.
• Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service documentation.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Physically fit and capable of working in workshop and field environments.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair Thermo King and other transport refrigeration units.
• Perform preventive maintenance on reefer systems installed on trucks, trailers, and vans.
• Inspect refrigeration, air-conditioning, and ventilation systems for faults and performance issues.
• Install refrigeration units on commercial vehicles as required.
• Repair electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration components of transport cooling systems.
• Conduct testing and performance checks after repairs and installations.
• Ensure refrigeration units operate efficiently and meet temperature-control requirements.
• Maintain accurate service records, maintenance logs, and repair reports.
• Follow manufacturer specifications and workplace safety procedures.
• Coordinate with supervisors and fleet operators regarding maintenance requirements.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Assist in minimizing vehicle downtime through efficient troubleshooting and repairs.
