Peloton Workready is seeking an experienced and skilled Wall & Floor Tiler for an overseas work opportunity in Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing wall and floor surfaces, measuring and planning tile layouts, cutting and shaping tiles, installing tiles using appropriate adhesives or mortar, applying grout and sealants, and ensuring completed tiling work meets high standards of accuracy, quality, and finish.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of working experience as a Wall & Floor Tiler or in a related tiling position.
- Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in a relevant or similar field.
- Must have a valid passport.
- Must have relevant work experience in the same field.
- Practical experience in wall and floor tile installation, surface preparation, cutting, grouting, and finishing.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, design plans, and tile layout specifications.
- Skilled in measuring surfaces and planning tile layouts to achieve straight lines, symmetrical patterns, and proper alignment.
- Experience using wet saws, tile cutters, tile scribes, grinders, and other tile-cutting equipment.
- Ability to accurately cut and shape tiles around corners, pipes, drains, fixtures, and other obstacles.
- Knowledge of mixing and applying mortar, cement paste, tile adhesive, grout, and other installation materials.
- Skilled in using trowels, levels, spacers, straightedges, and other tiling tools.
- Knowledge of waterproofing and surface preparation methods for wet areas and other applications.
- Ability to apply grout evenly and properly remove excess grout without damaging finished surfaces.
- Knowledge of applying sealants to tile joints and other areas requiring water resistance.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, clean, and high-quality finishes.
- Good understanding of construction-site safety procedures and proper PPE use.
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual tiling work, including lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, standing, and working in confined or elevated areas when required.
- Good practical problem-solving and technical skills.
- Ability to work efficiently according to project schedules and specifications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a construction team.
- Reliable, hardworking, disciplined, and safety-conscious.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect walls, floors, and other surfaces to determine the appropriate tiling requirements and installation methods.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, smoothing, leveling, scraping, and removing dirt, dust, old materials, and other contaminants.
- Fill cracks, holes, joints, and other surface imperfections before tile installation.
- Apply waterproofing materials, waterproof paper, lath, cement mortar, or other appropriate surface preparation systems when required.
- Measure walls and floors accurately and calculate the required quantity of tiles, adhesive, mortar, grout, and other materials.
- Study blueprints, technical drawings, design plans, and tile patterns to determine layout and installation requirements.
- Mark reference points, center lines, grids, and layout lines to ensure symmetrical patterns, straight lines, and accurate tile placement.
- Plan tile layouts to minimize waste and ensure proper alignment around walls, corners, openings, fixtures, and other features.
- Measure and cut tiles accurately to required dimensions and angles.
- Use wet saws, tile cutters, tile scribes, grinders, and other specialized tools to cut and shape tiles.
- Cut tiles accurately around corners, pipes, drains, electrical outlets, fixtures, columns, and other obstacles.
- Mix and prepare mortar, cement paste, tile adhesive, and other bonding materials to the correct consistency.
- Spread mortar, adhesive, or cement paste evenly using trowels and other appropriate tools.
- Press, position, and align tiles securely onto walls and floors according to the planned layout.
- Use levels, spacers, straightedges, and other measuring tools to maintain consistent spacing, straight lines, proper alignment, and level surfaces.
- Check tile surfaces during installation to ensure proper adhesion and prevent uneven or improperly positioned tiles.
- Remove and reposition tiles when necessary to correct alignment, spacing, or installation defects.
- Apply grout between tile joints after the adhesive or mortar has properly set.
- Fill joints evenly with grout and remove excess grout using appropriate tools and a damp sponge.
- Apply appropriate sealants and protective coatings to improve water resistance and protect tiled surfaces.
- Ensure corners, edges, joints, transitions, and tile penetrations are properly finished and sealed.
- Inspect completed tiling work for alignment, level, spacing, adhesion, grout consistency, surface appearance, and overall workmanship.
- Repair or replace cracked, loose, damaged, or incorrectly installed tiles as required.
- Protect newly installed tiles and surrounding areas during curing and completion of the project.
- Clean tools, equipment, tiles, grout, adhesive residue, and work areas after completing installation.
- Safely handle and store tiles, adhesives, cement, grout, sealants, cutting tools, and other materials.
- Minimize material waste through accurate measurement, cutting, layout planning, and proper material handling.
- Coordinate with builders, carpenters, plumbers, electricians, plasterers, painters, and other trades to ensure smooth project execution.
- Follow project drawings, specifications, installation instructions, and construction schedules.
- Follow applicable Australian construction requirements, workplace safety procedures, and health and safety regulations.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Perform other wall and floor tiling, surface preparation, repair, grouting, and finishing duties assigned by management.
