Job Location: Oman
Algharbia Enterprises Trading & Contracting Co. LLC is seeking an experienced Surveyor to perform topographic, bathymetric, and construction surveying for civil and marine infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting accurate field surveys, preparing survey data, and supporting engineering and construction teams with precise measurements and mapping information.
SURVEYOR
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in topographic and bathymetric surveying.
- Proficient in using modern surveying instruments and surveying software.
- Strong knowledge of surveying principles, coordinate systems, mapping techniques, and construction layouts.
- Experience supporting civil, marine, or infrastructure construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct topographic, bathymetric, and construction surveys in accordance with project specifications and engineering requirements.
- Establish and verify survey control points, benchmarks, and reference coordinates.
- Perform site measurements, boundary surveys, level surveys, and alignment checks for construction activities.
- Operate and maintain modern surveying equipment, including total stations, GPS/GNSS receivers, digital levels, echo sounders, and other hydrographic survey instruments.
- Process, analyze, and interpret survey data using surveying and mapping software.
- Prepare survey reports, contour maps, cross-sections, profiles, and as-built drawings.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to provide accurate survey information for project execution.
- Monitor construction layouts and verify that works are carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
- Perform bathymetric surveys to measure underwater terrain, depths, and seabed conditions for marine construction projects.
- Ensure all survey records, field notes, and digital data are accurately maintained and archived.
- Comply with company quality standards, health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies during all surveying operations.
- Perform other surveying duties assigned by the Project Manager or Survey Manager.
