Job Vacancy: CIVIL ENGINEER

Job Location: Oman
Al-Gharbia Enterprises Trading & Contracting Co. LLC is seeking a qualified Civil Engineer to support the planning, design, coordination, and execution of civil and marine infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring construction activities are carried out according to approved engineering designs, project specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
CIVIL ENGINEER
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Full working knowledge of AutoCAD, Primavera, and Civil 3D.
- Experience in civil, infrastructure, or marine construction projects is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, engineering principles, and project coordination.
- Good communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, supervise, and coordinate civil construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and contract documents before construction.
- Prepare and review shop drawings, construction drawings, as-built drawings, and technical documentation.
- Develop project schedules and monitor construction progress using Primavera P6.
- Prepare quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), material estimates, and progress reports.
- Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D to prepare layouts, grading plans, profiles, cross-sections, and construction details.
- Coordinate with project managers, consultants, surveyors, subcontractors, and site teams to resolve technical issues.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure work complies with approved drawings, engineering standards, and quality requirements.
- Monitor project costs, material usage, and productivity while identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality management requirements.
- Prepare technical reports, method statements, Requests for Information (RFIs), and engineering documentation.
- Perform other engineering duties assigned by the Project Manager.
