Kuwait Packing Materials Manufacturing Company KSC (C) is seeking an experienced Flexographic Printing Machine Operator to operate a 6-color central drum flexographic printing machine for kraft paper production in Kuwait. The successful candidate will be responsible for machine setup, printing plate preparation, color registration, print quality monitoring, machine adjustments, and basic preventive maintenance to ensure consistent production, high-quality output, and minimal material waste.

Flexographic Printing Machine Operator – 6 Color Central Drum (Kraft Paper)

Qualifications:

  • NC I/NC II or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience operating flexographic printing machines.
  • Proven experience operating a 6-color central drum flexographic press.
  • Experience specifically with central drum flexographic machines, not stack-type presses.
  • Experience printing on kraft paper is required or highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of flexographic printing processes, color registration, inks, and print quality control.
  • Practical experience with flexographic printing plates (clichés), anilox rollers, and printing cylinders.
  • Experience operating PLC-controlled flexographic printing machines and video inspection systems.
  • Ability to perform basic machine adjustments, troubleshooting, cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance.
  • Good understanding of print defects and appropriate corrective adjustments.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistent print quality.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing and production environment.
  • Basic English communication skills.
  • Physically fit and capable of performing machine operation and production-related duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and set up a 6-color central drum flexographic printing machine for kraft paper production.
  • Prepare, mount, align, and replace flexographic printing plates (clichés) according to production requirements.
  • Install and adjust anilox rollers, printing cylinders, inks, and other printing components.
  • Set and maintain accurate color registration throughout the printing process.
  • Prepare inks and adjust ink settings to achieve the required color and print specifications.
  • Monitor print quality, color consistency, registration, print density, and overall appearance during production.
  • Make necessary machine and process adjustments to maintain consistent printing quality.
  • Operate PLC controls and video inspection systems used in the printing process.
  • Monitor machine operating conditions, production speed, material feeding, and printing performance.
  • Inspect kraft paper and printed materials for defects, misregistration, color variation, smudging, and other quality issues.
  • Conduct regular checks and adjustments to minimize printing defects and production waste.
  • Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and basic preventive maintenance of the printing machine.
  • Inspect printing components and report worn or damaged parts requiring replacement or repair.
  • Troubleshoot minor machine, ink, registration, and printing problems during production.
  • Coordinate with maintenance personnel and supervisors when technical problems cannot be resolved through routine adjustments.
  • Follow approved production procedures, machine operating instructions, and quality control standards.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records as required.
  • Keep the printing machine, tools, equipment, and work area clean and organized.
  • Follow workplace safety procedures and properly handle inks, solvents, printing plates, and other production materials.
  • Work efficiently to meet production schedules, quality requirements, and output targets while minimizing material waste.
