Job Location: Oman
Al-Gharbia Enterprises Trading & Contracting Co. LLC is seeking a skilled Draftsman (Marine Projects) to prepare accurate engineering drawings and technical documentation for marine and civil infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will work closely with engineers and project teams to produce detailed construction, shop, and as-built drawings that comply with project specifications and international drafting standards.
DRAFTSMAN (MARINE PROJECTS)
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in CAD and Civil 3D drafting.
- Proven experience working on marine construction projects.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and related drafting software.
- Strong ability to produce accurate, detailed, and high-quality engineering drawings.
- Good understanding of marine construction methods and engineering standards.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D engineering drawings for marine and civil construction projects using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Develop construction drawings, shop drawings, as-built drawings, layouts, sections, profiles, and detailed engineering plans.
- Produce drawings for marine structures such as jetties, ports, quay walls, breakwaters, revetments, seawalls, and related infrastructure.
- Revise drawings based on engineer, consultant, and client comments while maintaining accurate revision records.
- Coordinate with project engineers, surveyors, and construction teams to ensure drawings accurately reflect site conditions and project requirements.
- Prepare topographic layouts, grading plans, alignment drawings, and earthwork details using Civil 3D.
- Ensure all drawings comply with company drafting standards, project specifications, and applicable engineering codes.
- Maintain organized electronic drawing files, drawing registers, and document control records.
- Assist in quantity take-offs and preparation of technical documentation when required.
- Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, dimensions, and constructability before submission.
- Support project teams during construction by updating drawings and preparing revised documentation.
- Perform other drafting and technical support duties assigned by management.
