Kuwait Packing Materials Manufacturing Company KSC (C) is seeking an experienced IML Injection Machine Operator to operate and monitor injection molding machines equipped with In-Mould Labeling (IML) systems for the production of high-quality labeled plastic packaging products in Kuwait. The successful candidate will be responsible for machine setup, mold changeovers, process parameter adjustments, label placement accuracy, quality monitoring, and basic troubleshooting while maintaining production efficiency and food-grade quality standards.

IML Injection Machine Operator

Qualifications:

• ITI or equivalent technical qualification.
• At least 3 years of experience operating IML injection molding machines.
• Proven knowledge and experience in In-Mould Labeling (IML) injection molding operations.
• Knowledge of mold changing and injection molding machine setup.
• Familiarity with IML robots, label feeding systems, and automated labeling equipment.
• Good understanding of plastic injection molding process parameters and machine settings.
• Ability to adjust machine parameters to achieve required production and quality standards.
• Knowledge of mold installation, alignment, changeover procedures, and basic mold handling.
• Ability to monitor label placement and identify printing, labeling, and molding defects.
• Basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills.
• Good understanding of production safety, quality control, and proper machine operation.
• Basic English communication skills.
• Physically fit and capable of working in a manufacturing and production environment.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor IML injection molding machines to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous production.
• Set up injection molding machines and IML systems according to production specifications.
• Perform mold changeovers, including mold installation, removal, alignment, and securing.
• Adjust injection molding process parameters such as temperature, pressure, injection speed, cooling time, and cycle time as required.
• Set and monitor IML label feeding and placement systems to ensure accurate label positioning.
• Operate and monitor IML robots and automated label handling equipment.
• Check label placement, alignment, adhesion, appearance, and consistency during production.
• Monitor machine operation, cycle times, production output, and product quality.
• Inspect molded packaging products for defects such as deformation, incomplete molding, flash, poor labeling, and other quality issues.
• Make necessary process adjustments to maintain consistent product quality and production efficiency.
• Identify abnormal machine conditions, process deviations, and production problems.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and make appropriate adjustments to minimize machine downtime.
• Report major machine, mold, robot, or IML system problems to supervisors and maintenance personnel.
• Conduct routine cleaning, inspection, and basic preventive maintenance of machines and IML equipment.
• Ensure molds, machine components, label feeding systems, and work areas are kept clean and properly maintained.
• Follow approved production procedures, machine operating instructions, and quality control standards.
• Maintain proper records of production output, machine settings, quality checks, and operational issues.
• Handle plastic materials, labels, molds, tools, and production components properly.
• Follow food-grade manufacturing, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized production area.
• Work closely with production, quality control, maintenance, and other technical personnel.
• Meet assigned production targets while minimizing material waste and rejected products.
