Economic Contracting Center Co. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Hydraulic Technician to diagnose, repair, overhaul, and maintain hydraulic systems on heavy equipment in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate should have strong knowledge of hydraulic principles, circuits, components, and troubleshooting, with hands-on experience performing precision diagnostics, root cause failure analysis, and hydraulic system repairs in accordance with OEM specifications and workplace safety standards.
Senior Hydraulic Technician
Qualifications:
- Technical Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Hydraulic Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on hydraulic maintenance experience on heavy equipment.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic principles, hydraulic circuits, system operation, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics and technical documentation.
- Proven experience diagnosing and repairing hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders, control valves, and related components.
- Knowledge of pilot control, steering, and hydraulic braking systems.
- Knowledge and practical experience with load-sensing and hydrostatic transmission systems.
- Experience using hydraulic diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
- Strong skills in precision measurement and hydraulic component inspection.
- Ability to perform root cause failure analysis and recommend effective corrective actions.
- Strong understanding of OEM maintenance procedures and technical specifications.
- Experience with heavy equipment brands such as CAT, Komatsu, Volvo CE, Hitachi, Sino Truck, MAN, and Actros is preferred.
- Good English communication skills.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and provide technical guidance to other technicians.
- Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on hydraulic maintenance and repair work.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety, quality, and equipment reliability.
- Reliable, hardworking, and willing to comply with company policies and workplace safety procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, and maintain hydraulic systems on heavy equipment.
- Perform detailed inspections of hydraulic systems to identify leaks, pressure problems, component wear, and system malfunctions.
- Diagnose faults in hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders, control valves, hoses, pipes, fittings, and related components.
- Test hydraulic system pressure, flow, temperature, and operating performance using appropriate diagnostic and testing equipment.
- Inspect and service hydraulic pumps and motors to ensure proper performance and efficiency.
- Repair, rebuild, or replace hydraulic cylinders, seals, valves, pumps, motors, hoses, and other defective components.
- Troubleshoot and maintain pilot control systems, steering systems, and hydraulic braking systems.
- Diagnose and maintain load-sensing hydraulic systems and related control components.
- Troubleshoot and maintain hydrostatic transmission systems and associated hydraulic components.
- Read and interpret hydraulic schematics, circuit diagrams, technical manuals, and OEM service documentation.
- Follow manufacturer specifications and recommended procedures when repairing or overhauling hydraulic equipment.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and scheduled hydraulic inspections to minimize equipment downtime.
- Perform precision measurements of hydraulic components using appropriate measuring instruments.
- Conduct root cause failure analysis to identify the underlying causes of recurring hydraulic problems.
- Recommend appropriate corrective actions to prevent repeated equipment failures.
- Use hydraulic diagnostic tools, pressure gauges, flow meters, test kits, and other specialized equipment safely and correctly.
- Conduct operational and performance tests after hydraulic repairs or component replacement.
- Maintain accurate records of hydraulic inspections, diagnostic findings, repairs, component replacements, and maintenance activities.
- Report major hydraulic faults, equipment conditions, and repair requirements to supervisors or management.
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and other technical personnel during equipment troubleshooting and repair.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians when required.
- Maintain hydraulic tools, testing equipment, workshop machinery, and work areas in clean and serviceable condition.
- Follow proper procedures for handling hydraulic oils, lubricants, cleaning agents, and other potentially hazardous materials.
- Observe workplace health and safety regulations and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform other hydraulic maintenance, repair, overhaul, and technical duties as assigned by management.
