QA/QC INSTRUMENT – ELECTRICAL

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
  • No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
  • Male applicants are preferred for this role.
  • Proven experience in electrical inspection, QA/QC, or construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical installation, testing, inspection, and quality control procedures.
  • Experienced in inspecting conduits, cable trays, electrical panels, transformers, switchboards, glanding, and cable terminations.
  • Knowledgeable in insulation resistance, continuity, earthing resistance, and loop testing.
  • Able to prepare Inspection Requests (IRs), NCRs, Quality Control Plans, and inspection reports.
  • Familiarity with as-built drawings and electrical design documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail, technical judgment, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect electrical installation works to ensure compliance with approved design drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Verify conduit routing, cable tray installations, cable glanding, and terminations against approved drawings.
  • Inspect electrical panels, transformers, switchboards, and related equipment for proper installation and conformity.
  • Witness and/or conduct electrical tests, including insulation resistance (megger), continuity, earthing resistance, and loop checks.
  • Review inspection and testing results to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (IRs) and maintain accurate inspection documentation.
  • Update and review as-built electrical drawings based on actual site installations.
  • Prepare, implement, and maintain Quality Control Plans and inspection records.
  • Identify defective, incomplete, or non-compliant electrical works and issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when required.
  • Monitor and track corrective and preventive actions until satisfactory completion.
  • Coordinate with electrical engineers, contractors, supervisors, and other project personnel regarding inspection and quality issues.
  • Ensure all electrical inspection activities comply with applicable safety procedures and project standards.
