Algharbia Enterprises Trading & Contracting Co. LLC is seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee large-scale marine and civil construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all phases of project execution, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contractual requirements and international quality standards.
PROJECT MANAGER
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 20 years of total professional experience in construction projects of similar scope, complexity, and magnitude.
- At least 8 years of experience managing the construction of marine structures.
- Extensive experience in project management, construction planning, contract administration, and team leadership.
- Strong knowledge of marine construction methods, civil engineering practices, and international construction standards.
- Proficient in project management software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful completion of marine and civil construction projects.
- Develop project execution plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk management strategies.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and government authorities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Supervise project managers, site engineers, construction teams, and technical staff to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and implement corrective actions to maintain project schedules.
- Oversee construction activities involving marine structures such as jetties, ports, wharves, breakwaters, quay walls, and other coastal infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, contract requirements, engineering standards, and applicable local and international regulations.
- Review and approve engineering drawings, technical submittals, method statements, progress reports, and variation orders.
- Manage project budgets, cost control, procurement coordination, contract administration, and commercial performance.
- Conduct regular project meetings and provide progress updates to senior management and clients.
- Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) requirements.
- Resolve technical, contractual, and operational issues while maintaining high standards of quality and client satisfaction.
