GENERATOR TECHNICIAN
Qualifications:
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience in generator maintenance, repair, or power systems operations.
- Strong knowledge of diesel generators, electrical systems, and engine components
- Experience in preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of generator systems.
- Familiarity with generator control systems, electrical panels, and load-bank testing procedures.
- Ability to identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control system issues efficiently.
- Knowledge of fluid replacement, filter maintenance, and equipment servicing procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Physically fit and capable of performing onsite technical and maintenance work.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance including fluid changes, coolant replacement, and filter servicing to prevent equipment failure.
- Perform inspections and maintenance of generator systems, engines, and associated electrical components.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system malfunctions.
- Repair or replace defective generator components and ensure proper system operation.
- Conduct load-bank testing and startup procedures to verify generator performance and power capacity.
- Monitor generator operations and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, testing reports, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with engineering and maintenance teams regarding repairs and equipment performance.
- Ensure workplace safety procedures and company operational standards are followed at all times.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition.
