Boroko Motors is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician with Electric Vehicle (EV) experience for deployment in Papua New Guinea. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and servicing electric and conventional vehicles while ensuring all work is completed according to manufacturer standards, safety requirements, and company procedures.

AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Automotive Technician.
• Hands-on experience with Electric Vehicles (EV) is required.
• Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
• Experience working with modern vehicle diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues.
• Good understanding of automotive safety procedures, particularly EV high-voltage system safety.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and overseas work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electric vehicles and automotive systems.
• Inspect, test, and repair vehicle electrical, electronic, mechanical, and battery-related components.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and servicing of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Use diagnostic equipment and technical tools to identify vehicle faults and recommend appropriate repairs.
• Follow manufacturer repair procedures, technical specifications, and safety guidelines.
• Perform vehicle inspections and prepare accurate service reports and documentation.
• Support troubleshooting of EV systems, including high-voltage components, charging systems, and electronic controls.
• Ensure all repairs and maintenance activities meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Provide technical support and collaborate with other automotive personnel as required.
