Tolu Minerals Limited is seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to maintain, diagnose, and repair electrical and electronic systems on heavy mobile equipment, construction machinery, trucks, and light vehicles.
This Auto Electrician job in Papua New Guinea is suitable for experienced automotive electrical technicians with extensive experience working on heavy mobile equipment, earthmoving machinery, construction equipment, trucks, and light vehicles.
Auto Electrician
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years’ experience as an Auto Electrician.
- Strong experience maintaining and repairing electrical systems on heavy mobile equipment.
- Experience working on earthmoving equipment, construction plant, trucks, and light vehicles.
- Proven ability to diagnose and repair electrical and electronic faults.
- Experience with Komatsu, Kubota, Isuzu, Tadano, Grove, Sany, or similar equipment is highly regarded.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of automotive electrical and electronic systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and equipment reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical and electronic systems on heavy mobile equipment.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting and fault diagnosis on machinery and vehicles.
- Inspect, test, and repair wiring, electrical components, control systems, and related equipment.
- Carry out preventive maintenance and electrical repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
- Work on earthmoving equipment, construction plant, trucks, and light vehicles.
- Use appropriate diagnostic tools and testing equipment to identify electrical and electronic faults.
- Conduct repairs and replacements of defective electrical components.
- Ensure all electrical work is completed safely and according to manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment faults.
- Work closely with mechanical technicians and other maintenance personnel.
- Support the safe and reliable operation of mobile equipment at the worksite.
