Committee Australia is seeking an experienced and physically fit Landscaper / Handyman for an overseas work opportunity in Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for gardening, grounds maintenance, general property repairs, facility upkeep, and ensuring outdoor and facility areas remain safe, clean, functional, and welcoming.

LANDSCAPER / HANDYMAN

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Landscape Gardener, Landscaper, Handyman, or in a similar maintenance role.
• Demonstrated experience in general maintenance, repairs, gardening, and grounds upkeep.
• Practical experience in gutter cleaning and general property maintenance.
• Experience with painting, patching, door installation, fly screen replacement, and minor carpentry work.
• Knowledge of basic building and property repair techniques.
• Experience operating gardening and grounds maintenance equipment.
• Ability to safely use common hand tools and power tools.
• Good understanding of general workplace health and safety practices.
• Ability to identify maintenance problems and report issues accurately.
• Physically fit and capable of performing outdoor and manual duties.
• Comfortable working outdoors in different weather conditions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, responsible, hardworking, and safety-conscious.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean and well-presented facilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to prioritize and complete multiple maintenance tasks efficiently.
• Willing to follow workplace procedures, safety requirements, and facility standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform regular landscaping, gardening, and grounds maintenance activities.
• Maintain lawns, gardens, plants, trees, pathways, outdoor areas, and landscaped spaces.
• Operate gardening and grounds maintenance equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform general property maintenance, repairs, and upkeep as required.
• Conduct gutter cleaning and help maintain drainage and external property areas.
• Carry out painting, patching, touch-up work, and other minor building repairs.
• Install and repair doors and related hardware when required.
• Replace, repair, and maintain fly screens.
• Perform minor carpentry and general handyman work.
• Inspect facilities and property areas for maintenance, safety, and repair requirements.
• Identify and report maintenance issues to the appropriate supervisor or management.
• Respond to general maintenance requests and complete assigned repair tasks.
• Maintain tools, gardening equipment, machinery, and other maintenance equipment in good working condition.
• Ensure work areas are kept clean, organized, and safe after completing maintenance activities.
• Assist with maintaining safe access areas, outdoor spaces, play areas, and facility surroundings.
• Support preventative maintenance activities to reduce property damage and equipment problems.
• Follow proper procedures when using power tools, gardening equipment, ladders, and maintenance materials.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Ensure facilities and grounds remain safe, clean, functional, and welcoming for children, families, visitors, and staff.
• Coordinate with facility staff and other personnel regarding maintenance requirements.
• Complete maintenance tasks within required schedules and quality standards.
• Perform other landscaping, gardening, handyman, and property maintenance duties assigned by management.
