Australian Skilled Migration is seeking an experienced Hotel Pub Chef to work in Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of Western-style pub and hotel dishes while maintaining consistent food quality, presentation, portion control, and kitchen safety standards. The position requires strong hands-on experience with commercial cooking equipment, including grills, fryers, cooktops, ovens, griddles, and combi ovens.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the same field is required.
- Must be a Bachelor’s degree graduate.
- Proven experience as a Chef, Pub Chef, Hotel Chef, or similar professional kitchen position.
- Strong experience preparing and cooking Western-style food.
- Experience cooking steaks, hot chips, chicken parmigiana, schnitzels, burgers, and pizzas.
- Hands-on experience using commercial grills and chargrills.
- Experience operating commercial deep fryers.
- Experience using gas cooktops and commercial gas ovens.
- Experience operating flat-top griddles.
- Experience using combi ovens.
- Strong understanding of cooking temperatures, timing, portion control, and food presentation.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and safe kitchen practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced hotel or pub kitchen.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Physically fit and capable of standing and working for extended periods in a professional kitchen.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a wide range of Western-style hotel and pub food according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Prepare and cook steaks using commercial grills and chargrills to the required level of doneness.
- Prepare hot chips, chicken parmigiana, schnitzels, burgers, pizzas, and other popular pub-style dishes.
- Operate commercial grills and chargrills safely and efficiently.
- Operate commercial deep fryers for chips, schnitzels, fried chicken, and other menu items.
- Use gas cooktops and commercial ovens for cooking and food preparation.
- Operate flat-top griddles for burgers, steaks, sandwiches, and other grilled menu items.
- Use combi ovens for roasting, baking, steaming, reheating, and other cooking processes as required.
- Prepare ingredients through cutting, trimming, portioning, marinating, seasoning, and other mise en place activities.
- Follow recipes, cooking methods, temperatures, preparation times, and portion specifications consistently.
- Maintain consistent taste, texture, quality, portion size, and presentation of all dishes.
- Monitor food during cooking to ensure proper doneness and prevent overcooking, burning, or food waste.
- Assist with menu preparation and ensure adequate mise en place is available during service.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared accurately and served on time.
- Work efficiently during busy hotel, restaurant, and pub service periods.
- Maintain proper food storage, labeling, rotation, and stock handling procedures.
- Monitor ingredient supplies and report shortages or replenishment requirements to the appropriate supervisor.
- Maintain clean and hygienic workstations, cooking equipment, utensils, preparation areas, and kitchen facilities.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, workplace health and safety, and safe equipment operating procedures.
- Properly handle hot surfaces, cooking equipment, knives, oils, gas appliances, and other kitchen hazards.
- Minimize food waste through proper preparation, portioning, storage, and ingredient utilization.
- Assist with cleaning and routine care of commercial kitchen equipment after service.
- Work cooperatively with chefs, kitchen hands, servers, supervisors, and other hospitality staff.
- Perform other cooking and kitchen duties assigned by the employer or kitchen management.
