Electromechanical Maintenance Engineer
Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in electromechanical maintenance, preferably in buildings or facilities.
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, pumps, generators, and other building systems.
- Experience in both preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to diagnose electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical equipment faults.
- Ability to coordinate and supervise maintenance activities and technical personnel.
- Good understanding of building and facility maintenance systems and procedures.
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals, equipment documentation, and maintenance instructions.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with maintenance teams, contractors, and other personnel.
- Safety-conscious, reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards of engineering and maintenance work.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise electromechanical maintenance activities for buildings and facilities.
- Conduct preventive maintenance of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, pumps, generators, and other building systems.
- Perform corrective maintenance and ensure equipment and systems are restored to proper operating condition.
- Inspect electromechanical equipment and identify signs of wear, damage, malfunction, or abnormal operation.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical faults using appropriate testing equipment and troubleshooting procedures.
- Troubleshoot equipment and system problems and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Monitor the operation and performance of building mechanical and electrical systems.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules and ensure preventive maintenance activities are completed on time.
- Supervise maintenance technicians and workers during repair, servicing, inspection, and installation activities.
- Assign maintenance tasks and monitor the quality and progress of completed work.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, facility personnel, and other departments when required.
- Ensure maintenance work is carried out according to approved procedures, technical requirements, and safety standards.
- Inspect completed maintenance and repair work to verify proper operation and workmanship.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inspections, repairs, and service requirements.
- Identify recurring equipment problems and recommend solutions to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
- Assist in planning maintenance requirements, spare parts, tools, materials, and equipment.
- Monitor the condition of pumps, generators, HVAC equipment, motors, electrical systems, and other facility equipment.
- Ensure maintenance tools and equipment are used properly and maintained in good working condition.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and ensure safe working practices during maintenance activities.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and urgent maintenance requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving equipment efficiency, reliability, and operational performance.
- Perform other engineering, maintenance, and facility-related duties as assigned.
