PAVIOUR / PAVER
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of recent experience in paviour or paver works.
- Must provide a Certificate of Employment (COE) as proof of relevant work experience.
- Must be at least a high school graduate and provide the appropriate educational credentials.
- Practical knowledge of preparing paving foundations and marking layout lines.
- Experience laying paving stones, granite slabs, natural stone, or other road tiles.
- Familiarity with installing kerbs and road borders.
- Knowledge of modern paving techniques and construction practices.
- Ability to follow measurements, construction plans, and technical instructions.
- Physically fit to perform construction work and handle paving materials safely.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare foundations and base surfaces for paving projects.
- Mark edge lines and determine area contours before installation.
- Select suitable paving materials, including concrete pavers, natural stone, granite slabs, and clinker.
- Lay granite slabs and other large-format road tiles according to project specifications.
- Install kerbs and road borders to define pathways and paved areas.
- Measure, align, and position paving materials to achieve accurate and even surfaces.
- Apply appropriate paving methods and techniques to ensure durability and quality.
- Inspect completed paving work for alignment, stability, and finish.
- Follow construction plans, technical instructions, and workplace safety standards.
- Coordinate with site supervisors and other construction team members.
