Mana Ranga UAB is seeking skilled Bricklayers / Concrete Block Masons to join its construction team in Lithuania. The role involves bricklaying, concrete blockwork, mortar preparation, structural and partition wall construction, and related masonry activities for commercial and residential projects. Candidates must demonstrate accurate line-and-level workmanship, proper mortar preparation, safe work practices, and the ability to work efficiently on construction sites.
BRICKLAYER / CONCRETE BLOCK MASON
Qualifications:
- Preferably not more than 45 years old.
- Must have at least 1 year of relevant work experience in commercial or residential masonry/blockwork.
- No specific educational attainment is required by the employer.
- Demonstrated ability in bricklaying and concrete block masonry.
- Mastery of line-and-level work, including accurate alignment, plumb, elevation, and measurements.
- Knowledge of proper mortar preparation and mixing, including Types M, S, and N.
- Ability to read and follow construction drawings, blueprints, masonry layouts, and work instructions.
- Skilled in cutting, shaping, laying, and finishing bricks and concrete blocks.
- Knowledge of hot- and cold-weather masonry techniques.
- Familiarity with masonry reinforcement, ties, anchors, joints, and related construction practices.
- Able to safely use masonry hand tools, power tools, mixers, and cutting equipment.
- Knowledge of safe scaffolding practices and working at elevated locations.
- Strong awareness of silica dust safety, including appropriate dust-control and PPE practices.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting, carrying, bending, standing, and performing manual construction work for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Able to work efficiently as part of a construction team and follow instructions from supervisors.
- Reliable, hardworking, disciplined, and safety-conscious.
- Willing to comply with company policies, construction standards, site safety rules, and PPE requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Construct walls, partitions, foundations, and other masonry structures using bricks and concrete blocks.
- Perform commercial and residential masonry/blockwork according to approved plans and specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and masonry layouts.
- Accurately establish wall lines, levels, corners, elevations, and dimensions before and during construction.
- Use string lines, spirit levels, laser levels, plumb tools, and other measuring equipment to maintain accurate alignment.
- Prepare and mix mortar to the required consistency and application standards.
- Apply appropriate mortar mixes, including Type M, Type S, and Type N, according to project requirements.
- Lay bricks and concrete blocks evenly, maintaining proper joints, alignment, spacing, and bonding patterns.
- Build straight, plumb, level, and structurally sound masonry walls.
- Cut and shape bricks, blocks, and other masonry materials to fit corners, openings, edges, and specific dimensions.
- Construct corners, intersections, openings, doorways, window areas, and other masonry details accurately.
- Install and position masonry reinforcement, ties, anchors, and related components when required.
- Prepare surfaces and work areas before starting masonry activities.
- Repair, replace, or rebuild damaged or defective masonry work when necessary.
- Perform pointing, joint finishing, and other finishing work to achieve a clean and professional appearance.
- Protect newly constructed masonry from damage and adverse weather conditions.
- Apply appropriate hot- and cold-weather masonry techniques to maintain mortar and masonry quality.
- Safely use hand tools, power tools, cutting equipment, mixers, and other masonry equipment.
- Follow proper scaffolding practices when working at elevated locations.
- Maintain tools, equipment, materials, and work areas in clean and organized condition.
- Follow construction schedules and coordinate work with supervisors, carpenters, concrete workers, and other trades.
- Observe strict site safety procedures, including silica dust control, fall protection, and PPE requirements.
- Report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, material issues, or defective workmanship to the supervisor.
