Sanabil Aljouf is seeking qualified and experienced Diesel Mechanics to maintain and repair agricultural machinery and diesel-powered equipment in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidates will be responsible for the preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, and servicing of farm machinery such as John Deere tractors, potato harvesters, agricultural sprayers, telehandlers, irrigation pumps, and gensets. The role requires strong hands-on mechanical skills and the ability to minimize equipment downtime and maintain reliable farm operations.
DIESEL MECHANIC
Qualifications:
- A minimum of three (3) years of relevant working experience is required.
- Relevant experience in diesel engine maintenance and agricultural machinery repair.
- Experience maintaining and repairing John Deere tractors is an advantage.
- Experience with potato harvesters, agricultural sprayers, telehandlers, irrigation pumps, and gensets is highly relevant.
- Strong hands-on skills in mechanical diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance.
- Knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, cooling systems, fuel systems, and related mechanical components.
- Ability to identify mechanical faults and perform appropriate corrective actions.
- Ability to conduct scheduled maintenance to minimize breakdowns and extend equipment service life.
- Familiarity with mechanical hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and workshop machinery.
- Ability to read and follow equipment manuals, maintenance procedures, and technical instructions.
- Physically fit and capable of working with heavy agricultural machinery and equipment.
- Willing to work outdoors and in agricultural or farm environments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to equipment safety and reliability.
- Responsible, hardworking, dependable, and able to respond to urgent maintenance requirements.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain, inspect, service, and repair agricultural and diesel-powered machinery.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on John Deere tractors and other farm equipment.
- Maintain and repair potato harvesters, agricultural sprayers, and telehandlers.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation pumps and diesel gensets.
- Diagnose mechanical problems using appropriate inspection methods, tools, and equipment.
- Identify the causes of equipment breakdowns and perform appropriate corrective actions.
- Inspect diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, cooling systems, fuel systems, and other mechanical components.
- Perform scheduled maintenance according to equipment operating hours and manufacturer recommendations.
- Conduct oil changes, lubrication, filter replacement, adjustments, and other routine servicing.
- Repair or replace worn, damaged, or defective mechanical components.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, and engine-related problems in agricultural machinery.
- Check belts, hoses, bearings, pumps, batteries, cooling systems, and other equipment components.
- Perform testing after repairs to ensure equipment operates safely and properly.
- Implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce unexpected breakdowns and equipment downtime.
- Maintain equipment in good operating condition to extend service life and improve reliability.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and urgent repair requirements during farm operations.
- Keep accurate records of inspections, repairs, maintenance activities, replacement parts, and equipment condition.
- Coordinate with farm supervisors, operators, and other maintenance personnel regarding equipment issues.
- Advise supervisors when major repairs, replacement parts, or specialized servicing are required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop and equipment maintenance area.
- Safely use mechanical tools, diagnostic equipment, lifting equipment, and workshop machinery.
- Follow proper safety procedures when working on heavy machinery, diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
- Perform other mechanical maintenance and repair duties assigned by management.
