Al-Iman Gasket Factory is seeking an experienced Diesel/Hydraulic Automotive Mechanic for an overseas work opportunity in Marshall Islands. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and servicing diesel-powered vehicles, hydraulic systems, and automotive equipment.

DIESEL/HYDRAULIC AUTOMOTIVE MECHANIC

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of working experience as a Diesel Mechanic, Hydraulic Mechanic, Automotive Mechanic, or related position.
• Maximum age: 45 years old.
• Proven practical experience in diesel engine and automotive mechanical maintenance.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and hydraulic equipment is required.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and hydraulic faults.
• Knowledge of diesel engines, automotive systems, and heavy-duty equipment is an advantage.
• Ability to use common mechanical tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Experience with hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves, hoses, fittings, and related components is preferred.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on mechanical work.
• Ability to work in a workshop, industrial, or outdoor environment.
• Responsible, hardworking, reliable, and safety-conscious.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to follow company procedures, maintenance standards, and workplace safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on diesel engines, vehicles, and automotive equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using appropriate testing and diagnostic tools.
• Inspect diesel engines and vehicle systems to identify worn, damaged, or defective components.
• Repair and maintain diesel engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering systems, suspension systems, and other mechanical components.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses, fittings, and hydraulic lines.
• Check hydraulic systems for leaks, pressure problems, damaged components, and abnormal operation.
• Replace defective, worn, or damaged mechanical and hydraulic parts.
• Perform oil changes, filter replacement, lubrication, adjustments, and other routine servicing.
• Inspect hydraulic hoses, connections, seals, and fittings and replace damaged components when necessary.
• Carry out engine tune-ups and basic performance checks.
• Use hand tools, power tools, hydraulic testing equipment, diagnostic tools, and workshop equipment safely.
• Conduct inspections and functional tests after completing repairs.
• Ensure vehicles and equipment are safe and operational before returning them to service.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, parts used, and identified problems.
• Report major mechanical or hydraulic defects and recommend necessary repairs or replacement.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and serviceable condition.
• Follow proper procedures when handling oils, lubricants, hydraulic fluids, fuel, and other workshop materials.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other mechanics to complete maintenance and repair work efficiently.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform repairs when required.
• Perform other automotive, diesel, hydraulic, and mechanical maintenance duties assigned by management.
