Emdad Human Resources Company is seeking an experienced Cutting Team Leader to lead and supervise laser cutting operations and ensure production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently achieved. The successful candidate will coordinate cutting personnel, monitor CNC laser cutting machine performance, optimize workflow, and ensure compliance with Ministry of Defense manufacturing standards.

Candidates with hands-on experience operating and supervising Trumpf, Bystronic, Amada, Mitsubishi, or similar CNC laser cutting machines, together with knowledge of nesting software, production planning, engineering drawings, and quality inspection, are encouraged to apply.

Cutting Team Leader

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in laser cutting or sheet metal fabrication.
• At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or team leader role.
• Strong experience operating and supervising CNC laser cutting machines, such as Trumpf, Bystronic, Amada, Mitsubishi, or equivalent.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, fabrication plans, and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of laser cutting parameters, nesting software, and production planning.
• Familiarity with quality inspection tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement practices is an advantage.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficient in basic computer applications and production reporting systems.
• Able to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety, quality, productivity, and operational efficiency.
• Willing to comply with Ministry of Defense manufacturing, quality, safety, and security requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise daily laser cutting operations to meet production schedules and targets.
• Assign tasks and coordinate cutting team members to ensure efficient workflow.
• Operate and supervise CNC laser cutting machines according to production requirements.
• Monitor machine performance, cutting quality, production output, and downtime.
• Ensure proper machine setup and selection of cutting parameters based on material type and thickness.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication plans, and technical specifications.
• Monitor material utilization and minimize scrap and production waste.
• Utilize nesting software and production planning techniques to improve material efficiency.
• Inspect cut components and ensure they meet specified dimensions and quality requirements.
• Use appropriate measuring and inspection tools to verify product accuracy.
• Identify machine, production, or quality issues and implement appropriate solutions.
• Coordinate with engineering, quality control, maintenance, and production teams.
• Maintain production reports, machine records, and other required documentation.
• Train, guide, and monitor cutting personnel to improve productivity and technical performance.
• Promote Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement practices where applicable.
• Ensure proper maintenance and safe operation of cutting equipment.
• Enforce workplace safety procedures and proper use of PPE.
• Ensure cutting operations comply with Ministry of Defense manufacturing and quality standards.
• Meet production deadlines while maintaining quality and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.
