Salad and Sandwich Maker

Qualifications:

• Age 21–35 years old.
• Previous experience in salad, sandwich, food preparation, restaurant, hotel, supermarket, café, or food service operations is an advantage.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation, salad making, sandwich preparation, and food presentation.
• Ability to safely handle knives and other food preparation equipment.
• Good knowledge of proper food handling, hygiene, sanitation, and food safety practices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and portion standards.
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced food service environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically fit and capable of standing and performing food preparation duties for extended periods.
• Clean, organized, reliable, and responsible.
• Ability to maintain consistent quality and presentation of prepared food products.
• Willing to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays as required.
• Willing to follow company policies, food safety procedures, and management instructions.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare fresh salads, sandwiches, wraps, and other ready-to-eat food items according to established recipes and standards.
• Wash, clean, peel, cut, slice, chop, and portion vegetables, fruits, meats, cheeses, and other ingredients.
• Prepare salad ingredients, dressings, sauces, spreads, and sandwich fillings.
• Assemble sandwiches and salads according to specified recipes, portions, and presentation standards.
• Ensure proper portion control and consistency of all prepared food products.
• Prepare ingredients and mise en place before service and maintain adequate supplies during operating hours.
• Check the freshness, quality, appearance, and condition of ingredients before use.
• Properly store, label, cover, and refrigerate perishable food items.
• Follow proper food handling, temperature control, and cross-contamination prevention procedures.
• Maintain clean and sanitized preparation tables, utensils, cutting boards, equipment, and workstations.
• Monitor food displays and replenish salads, sandwiches, and other prepared products as needed.
• Ensure finished products are attractively presented, properly packaged, labeled, and ready for sale.
• Check product labels, dates, portions, and packaging for accuracy.
• Assist with receiving and checking food ingredients and supplies when required.
• Monitor ingredient stocks and report shortages or damaged supplies to the supervisor.
• Minimize food waste through proper preparation, portioning, storage, and ingredient handling.
• Follow company recipes, food preparation procedures, hygiene standards, and quality requirements.
• Handle kitchen equipment, knives, slicers, mixers, refrigerators, and other food preparation tools safely.
• Maintain proper personal hygiene and wear appropriate protective clothing and PPE when required.
• Coordinate with other kitchen staff, food service personnel, cashiers, and supervisors.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the food preparation and service areas.
• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and other kitchen duties as assigned.
• Report food quality issues, equipment problems, safety hazards, or customer concerns to the supervisor.
• Perform other salad, sandwich preparation, food service, and kitchen duties assigned by management.
