Customer Clearance Manager

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Transport, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in import management and customs clearance operations.
• In-depth knowledge of local and international customs regulations and procedures.
• Proven experience in managing budgets, operational costs, and service contracts.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Detail-oriented and capable of handling documentation accurately.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and import/export management software.
• Ability to coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and logistics providers efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the entire import process from documentation to final delivery.
• Ensure compliance with all local and international customs regulations and standards.
• Prepare and manage import documentation including bills of lading, invoices, and packing lists.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers.
• Handle customs clearance issues promptly and efficiently to avoid delays.
• Maintain updated knowledge of customs regulations, tariffs, and import procedures.
• Negotiate contracts, rates, and service agreements to ensure operational cost-efficiency.
• Collaborate with internal departments to streamline import operations and reduce lead times.
• Monitor and report import activities, performance metrics, and KPIs.
• Ensure accuracy of all customs-related entries, records, and documentation.
