Tongs Corporation Ltd. is seeking an experienced and results-driven Procurement Supervisor / Manager to lead its procurement, warehouse, and supply chain operations in the Solomon Islands. This position is ideal for professionals with extensive experience in procurement management, logistics, inventory control, and team leadership who can ensure efficient sourcing, cost optimization, and smooth supply chain operations.

Qualifications:
- Preferably not more than 50 years old.
- Minimum of 5 years or more of experience in procurement management and supply chain operations.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience managing procurement, purchasing, supplier relationships, and contract negotiations.
- Experience overseeing warehouse operations and transport logistics.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems, inventory management software, and supply chain support systems.
- Strong leadership experience with the ability to supervise, motivate, and develop a team.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and ERP platforms.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and oversee the company’s procurement activities to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies, policies, and procedures that support operational goals.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, quality products, and reliable delivery schedules.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate purchasing activities to prevent stock shortages or excess inventory.
- Supervise warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, and distribution of materials.
- Manage transport logistics to ensure the efficient movement and delivery of goods.
- Oversee the use and maintenance of ERP systems and inventory management software to ensure accurate procurement and stock records.
- Analyze purchasing trends, supplier performance, and procurement costs to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, financial controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare procurement reports, inventory analyses, and management updates for senior leadership.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise the procurement, warehouse, and logistics team to achieve departmental objectives.
- Collaborate with finance, operations, and other departments to support business requirements and improve supply chain efficiency.
