CNC Machinist
Qualifications:
- Male, 24–45 years old.
- Minimum of 3 years of verifiable CNC machining experience.
- Secondary School Diploma required; additional technical training preferred.
- Experience machining API-threaded tubular products or similar precision components.
- Strong ability to read technical drawings/blueprints and interpret job requirements.
- Proficient in CNC programming (conversational), G-code, and M-code.
- Skilled in operating CNC lathes, horizontal band saws, and related manufacturing equipment.
- Knowledge of machining operations including turning, milling, boring, and drilling.
- Familiar with preventive maintenance and machine tool upkeep.
- Experience in the oil and gas sector, preferably in Gulf countries.
- Able to lift 55 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, shop drawings, and customer specifications for API-threaded tubular products and other precision components.
- Program CNC machines, including conversational programming, and apply strong knowledge of G-code and M-code.
- Operate CNC lathes, horizontal band saws, and other manufacturing equipment to produce components within required tolerances.
- Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other tools to ensure conformity with specifications.
- Develop machining logic, tooling paths, and sequences for API 5CT and 5B compliant products.
- Document machining processes, job setups, and instructions to support quality assurance and repeatability.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on machine tools and report any issues promptly.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to optimize machining procedures and improve production efficiency.
- Train and mentor junior staff in machining skills, safety, and quality control practices.
- Participate in health, safety, and environmental (HSE) initiatives and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Prepare production reports, document all machining operations, and contribute to continuous quality improvement programs.
- Troubleshoot machining or production issues, recommend improvements, and implement corrective actions as needed.
